In the Small Towns driving on the left side of the road is absolutely no problem. All roads in Garden Route are in fantastic condition, due to the fact they don't have a heavy Winter, which of course damages roads over time. For the most part the N2 is used and is also in a perfect condition. Becareful though as there are also speed cameras in operation especially between George and Wilderness or on the way to Oudtshoorn, always stick to the speed limits!
